It’s not a car battery charger and the instructions say so. Unfortunately it’s labeled and sold as one. I bought one that would only flash that power had been supplied, then died and stopped working. Garbage device.

It’s very simple to use and I like the fact that it detects a bad battery.

It is compact and well constructed

It works great

Its easy to use and I like the option of getting other pigtails and for different batteries and being able to just plug them in without having trying to get clamps to stay on.

WORKS GREAT ON LAWN MOWERS

I liked its price and ease of use. My battery was dying for lack of use. I can hook this up and leave it because it shuts off when charged. Next time I want my car, the battery is good!

This is a basic Craftsman trickle charger with indicator lights for “charging” and “bad battery”. It’s supposed to be gel battery compatible. Used it on a discharged (meter read 3.3 VDC) Honda gel battery in a new CRV with “technological enhancements” . Most likely some feature or another had remained on overnight. Hooked up the charger. It indicated it was charging and ran for a couple of hours before the “bad battery” light came on. The battery had enough of a charge to activate the low-voltage electronic functions but not enough to crank the engine. Called Honda roadside assistance, they came and jump-started the car. Drove it to the dealer, they charged the battery for an hour or so, and said it was cranking at 600 CCA. Of course, CCA is a rating, not an actual volt/amp reading, and the battery is rated at 450 CCA, but it had started, so drove it home and it hasn’t petered out since. So, the charger is okay as a trickle charger, but can’t get the battery up to cranking amperage. The spec table actully indicates that in a particularly vague manner. Not too big a deal, will try using it to “top up” the battery and see how that goes. However, if you need something capable of geting a battery up to 12 VDC with decent amperage, look elsewhere.

Worked great on my riding lawnmower. Easy setup and charge time.
