Loved it, it did the job and i would recommend this to anyone

This product cannot power senstive electronics such as Class D amplification.
I tried using this inverter to power a small mobile audio rack. The 16 channel mixer works, but my peavy IPR 1600 class D amplifier will not work at any volume level. DDT lights display(Amplifier Protection)
I could not find any specifications listing the type of waveform output by the inverter, so I can assume with almost certainty that it is not a pure sine wave inverter and could possibly harm sensitive electronics
I do not reccomend

I bought one of these inverters because I needed a small one that I could direct wire in a small space. I know that it wasn’t built to be direct wired, but figured that that shouldn’t be an issue as long as you get the polarity correct. I wired it up and the first time I tried to use it I heard a “pop”, and that was the end of it. But because I had cut the alligator clips off the ends, I couldn’t return it, so I just had to eat that cost. Don’t waste your time with it, or anything under that brand name.

My son needs for his car. We have one and it works perfect

As soon as I connect it to the battery there were two sparks and fuse blew out. Did not work. Went to store to get it exchanged. Was told that as it was over 6 months they could not do the exchange. Instead they asked me to contact the company to get their help. I am going to do so as it is still within 1 year of warranty. Will update on the results.

Using a CPAP breathing machine at night is essential to any kind of sleep for me. During the rolling blackouts, it was difficult to sleep at all. Using this power inverter on the car battery did the trick. Slept all night. Put a battery charger on the same battery to charge when power was on. Problem: charger over-charged a little, causing Inverter to cut off due to high battery voltage (14vdc). Machine works great all night without charger, so I only charged during the day. Currently building UPS for my CPAP machine, which will keep me breathing no matter what, without a power cord running from the garage.

AC outlet 120 Watts Nominal – 240 Watts Surge
Dual 5 volt DC 2.4 amps shared.
This means if you are using both ports they each have 1.4 Amps each, but if you have one thing connected and it needs 2 Amps or 2.1 amps or 2.4 amps then it will have what it needs. If it needs 3 amps, it will not have 3 amps, it will have 2.4 amps and a continuous draw may damage the inverter or over heat it and cause it to shut down until it cools off or at the very least will not charge or power your device to it’s full capabilities.
Most all 12 Outlets in vehicles or electronic devices will not give more than 250 Watts and some give way less than 250 Watts. We have one in our vehicle that says 80 Watts and one that says 120 Watts. This means neither of our 12 volt outlets in our 2021 vehicle will give over 80 watts or 120 watts. If we try to run anything or charge anything on this inverter that surges over 120 watts, it may burn out the inverter or shut it down for overheating. My experience is they fry or blow an internal fuse. That is how mathematics and electronics engineering works.
I have tested the inverter powered with just the LED on and the Fan running. It sounds like a fan, what can I say, some people think a fan should not be making a sound. If it does it’s job you are most likely going to hear it. Resolve yourself to that if you do not hear it, suspect it is not cooling as well as one you hear. You should not hear rattling or grinding from a fan. I am going on the high pitch fan sound i hear coming from it that I expecdted to come from it. It sounds like a fan.
Also everyone does not have the same hearing as some hear higher frequencies and some medium frequencies and some low frequencies and some hear overall the three frequencies I mentioned. Someone who hears mostly high frequencies more than the mid and low range will likely hear a small fan better than other people. That is how the ear drum works. I should not have to explain this, but modern people.. what can I say.
About Inverters:
I have a 240 watt Gaming Laptop with a dedicated GPU, so it has a CPU and a GPU and a 160 watt laptop, a 145 watt laptop, a 125 watt laptop, a 90 watt laptop and two 55 watt Chrome Books (HP and Samsung). I would not try to charge our 125 watt or Laptop any Laptop heavier on this inverter as it would put it at or over it’s max nominal output. Thus most likely fry it or overheat it and force it to shut down.
Inverters We Have:
We also have a 250 watt and a 450 watt and a 750 watt and a 2,000 watt and 3,500 watt inverters. We use the inverter needed for the job. i would not typically use the 750 watt or above inverters to charge any of our laptops or cellphones as larger more powerful inverters draw more power just idling with nothing connected to them.
While typing this I connected my Dual Screen LG G8X ThinQ cellphone (6 gig ram, 256gig storage and 512gig micro-sd card) to each of the USB outlets and each one of them charges my cellphone adequately for about 15 minutes. So this is about 30 minutes total I have been running it with no issues.
Lets add a 12″ Studio Multi Color LED Light Ring while my Cellphone is connected. My cellphone is now charged to 63%, so you know it is still charging at this time.
I am getting slight almost unnoticeable flicker.
Keep in mind this could be from the Vehicle Jump Starter unit or from the Inverter or from both. This studio light does not flicker at any brightness setting while on my house power while connected to surge protector that has two 5v DC USA Ports.
Lets try just the light without my cellphone charging.
The flicker is gone, so we see it was my cellphone charging that was causing the feedback. As soon as I plugged my cellphone into the other USB the flicker came back to the Studio Ring Light. I do not know if the flicker would be noticeable in video if I were videoing with my cellphone. Though I was wrong that the flicker may have been from the inverter or Jump Starter unit.
Lets try the 120 volt AC Outlet.
First
HART Tool battery 15 watt Slow Charger.
HART 1.5 amp hour 20 volt DC battery: Charges OK
HART 2 amp hour 20 volt DC battery: Charges OK
NEXT
HART Tool Battery 60 Watt Rapid Charger.
HART 1.5 amp hour 20 volt DC battery: Charges OK
HART 2 amp hour 20 volt DC battery: Charges OK
NEXT
HART Tool Dual Battery 85 Watt Sequential Charger
HART 1.5 amp hour 20 volt DC battery: Charges OK
HART 2 amp hour 20 volt DC battery: Charges OK
Lets plug in my cellphone while using the HART 85 watt Dual Rapid Sequential Charger; Charging OK
Lets also plug in the 12″ Studio Ring Multi Color LED Light. I am expecting that slight flicker, but if in an emergency you got to do what you got to do in order to stream live.
Tool Battery charged and it auto changed over to charging the second battery and it is charging and my cellphone phone and running the 12″ Studio LED Light Ring.
I lowered the Ring Light down to the 4th setting below highest light setting and the flicker stopped. I cycled through the light colors of 2,700K, 3,500K and 5,000K and there is no flicker on the 4th down from the top setting, which 10 is the highest and 1 is the lowest. So if I go from lowest up to 6th setting there is no flicker.
We have five 20 volt Tool Batteries and are using two Tool Batteries to power two different Tool LED Lights while charging a tool battery and I am charging my cellphone while shooting video while using the 12″ Ring Light on #6 setting… all at the same time. Demo video recorded for 3 minutes and all worked as expected.
What do I have the 120 Watt / 240 watt surge Battery Tender inverter connected to for 12 volt power? I have it connected to a Vehicle Jump Starter that has a 12 volt outlet. ( sells these also) I was testing on it for about an hour and the Battery Tender 120 Watt – 240 watt surge Inverter worked as hoped / expected. I also video recorded for 3 minutes and the video recorded as expected.
If I was going to charge our Laptops of 120 watt or higher I would buy the 200 watt – 400 watt surge Inverter. You want the inverter you know can handle the job you are going to expect it to do. Even though your auto may say it will drive 140 MPH, you should not expect it to run at 140 MPH for long term, likewise I would not try to charge a 120 watt laptop or 125 watt laptop on this inverter long term. I would buy the 200 watt – 400 watt surge Inverter. Keeping in mind they are still limited by the 12 volt plug outlet they are being powered by. Hope This Helps

Bought this because my wife needed a heating pad for a back problem. Drove 4000 miles with it running continuously the whole time. Worked like a champ. I like the voltage indicator on the display – very helpful in determining the stress on the electrical system. Definitely would recommend.

I should have known better than buying something like this from . It’s cheaply made and overpriced. The cooling fan is extremely loud and annoying. The inverter worked for around 20 minutes and stopped working. I couldn’t even get it to charge a small laptop battery. 2020 Silverado 1500.
