This is how honors their Kolbalt lifetime warranty even with an approved reference # given from warranty care but then the store says they don’t sell the Kolbalt 3 ton floor jack any longer so they’re system won’t let them give a full refund or give the customer another comparable craftsman floor jack at same value even though the both jacks are identical I won’t buy tools from any more, I purchased the Kolbalt jack in 2008 because I was lead to believe it had a lifetime warranty Shame on

The jack arrived on time, but the box it came in had barely survived the shipment. It was covered in packing tape and parts of the box were missing, along with the set screw for the handle. Fortunately, I had a 10mm bolt to install in the handle.

I loved this floor jack. I had to use it to jack up my 16′ trailer so I could replace the trailer jack that was stuck and would no longer work. It lifted it with no issues and I was able to replace the trailer jack with ease. And since then I have used it a couple of times to do other things so it was a great buy for me.

The most frustrating and unsafe jack I have used in 30 years of experience doing mechanics work. I have also never dealt with a customer service department so unresponsive and unprofessional. Please may someone from the correct customer service department contact me at your earliest convenience.
Thanks in advance,
EA

Used only a few times and each time the jack leaked hydraulic oil. Now it doesn’t lift but only a 1/4 the way. Craftsman, you NEED to help with this. Was NOT a cheap purchase.

Bought my floor jack a year ago and everything was perfect. 3 months later and it totally stopped jacking up off the floor. Been in my garage since then. Trying to reach customer service to activate the lifetime warranty and it’s been impossible to reach anyone at Craftsman. The jack is not cheap and very much a frustrating purchase.

This jack works very well, is well built, and the price is quite reasonable. It does exactly what I need and doesn’t take up that much space when not in use.

I replaced a 35 year old CARFTSMAN jack with this one. Release valve sticks and is difficult to turn; gears don’t mesh properly. Jack will NOT lower slowly; hits jack stands so hard I was afraid they would fail. Returning this as soon as possible. It’s sad that Craftsman no longer makes quality tools.

It’s a good, solid jack except for one major flaw. The star gear for the dump valve is the worst engineering I have ever seen.
Most of the time the two gears don’t even line up, so your suck there twisting the handle with nothing happening except the feeling of the gear skipping. Then when it finally does catch it’s super hard to turn, then it dumps the vehicle to the ground in a second.
Come on, anyone with a mind could see this was a terrible idea.

I bought this jack assuming Craftsman quality, but this thing is garbage. When you turn the handle to lower the jack, the gears don’t mesh properly and they bind. It becomes extremely difficult to turn the handle, but then the gears unbind suddenly. Very frightening because the car will drop like 2 inches instantly. Very scary. Do not buy this jack. It is very dangerous. I’m returning mine asap.
