I still love Craftsman socket tools. These are really nice quality like I expected. I would definitely recommend these to anyone. My only complaint which isn’t that serious is the plastic case. It’s not like the old ones black durable non see through. I don’t think the case will last and what is the point in a long lasting quality product with a case that breaks or falls apart? Anyway I still love the product and still gave it 5 stars.

This is a great set for someone who needs all of the common sizes. Great quality and look to it. The case is nice to store and carry around if you don’t have a toolbox. It also has more ratchets than your typical set, which will allow you to make a smaller swing to tighten if needed. Highly recommended.

Price was great and the quality, except case, is as I would expect from Craftsman. If you are expecting the case to be high quality, think again. Mine came with a number of cracks and loose plastic pieces.

I bought this 1/2″ drive tool set 10 years ago and it work flawlessly. I restore antique tractors and farm implements as a hobby and this is my go to tool set. I use it daily on tough, rusty fasteners and it has never failed. The gunmetal chrome finish still looks like new even after 10 years of hard use. The ratchet is still tight even though it has been dropped on concrete numerous times. I have been using Craftsman tools for 50 years and they do not disappoint.

Haven’t really got to test this set much, but what few times I have used them they worked just fine. The ratchet action is super smooth. And the gun metal finish is the nicest I’ve ever had on a set. Can’t wait to see how this set holds up. So far very impressed.

Reviewing this tool set was a pleasure. It is made under a higher specification with a quality ratcheting mechanism that might just give you an extra click or two in a tight situation . The gun metal chrome is a beautiful finish with larger number sizes engraved on the sockets. The ratchet is equipped with a push button locking ball and the sockets are dimpled inside on all sides, so you are not looking for a hole. Just snap it on which is a nice feature. All I can really say is that this ratchet set is quality made, smooth operating, and a joy to use. It comes in a nice tight secure plastic case.

Over the years I’ve assembled quite a collection of Craftsman mechanical tools. They have a reputation for being one of the best tools in the industry and are backed with an exceptional warranty. Purchased a 22-Piece Standard (SAE) And Metric Gunmetal Chrome Mechanic’s Tool Set at , to work on my new to me Tractor. I have a lot of tools in 3/8 Drive, but didn’t have any in 1/2 in..This set was the perfect set for me as it had so many pieces, put together in a nice starter set, honestly it’s more than just a starter set, with 22 pieces, I doubt I’ll ever need to ad more. Great appearance, but after some use the handle is just not fitting comfortable. Have had the set about 3 weeks now and the ratchet selection doesn’t stay engaged when tightening nuts/bolts.

Very good sets; I love them. I even used the 20mm to remove a wheel lock. Heated the socket up until it was the water in a puddle I dropped it in after I got it out. Still worked great when I encountered a rusted 20mm nut. However, I wish the ratchet was serviceable. I broke two because had the bad habit of drowning them in brake cleaner. Could have saved them by just re greasing them.

The finish looks really cool, but all of the sockets were delivered with rust inside of them. I’ve never even opened the package. Disappointing, as I was finally updating my hodgepodge collection of sockets to be all craftsman gunmetal.

Nice size socket set, perfect for under the seat of your truck or in the trunk of your car. Has the most commonly used sizes all in a compact case. Though I like the case they should have made it a bit more sturdy. I don’t think it will take much to break the clear plastic lid. I do like the the shape of the ratchet handle in comparison to my other ratchets as the grip seems more comfortable on the hand. I’ve only used it for one small project so far but it seems like it’s good quality & having the lifetime craft man warranty is nice. I would recommend this socket set for anyone looking for a portable 1/2 drive set. should start offering this set in stores soon.

Purchased this set and after a month and a half the ratchet became difficult to change directions. I went back to several time to exchange the ratchet and it was not in stock. After my fourth attempt I was able to exchange the ratchet. A week later on the first use with the new ratchet, it locked up and would not disengage and unable to change directions. I made contact with customer service at Craftsman and was given a reference number and a promise that I would receive a new ratchet within two weeks. This was over a month ago and as of now I have not received nothing. Extremely disappointed in the product and customer service.

I have used Craftsman ratchets and sockets for 10 years. I have never enjoyed using a brand of tools I felt safe and comfortable to work with. Even after changing ownership, I still believe they seek out quality and aim to please by a lifetime warranty on most tools. I really like the gunmetal chrome. They really stand apart from my other sockets with that darker color.
