Cheaply made. The 3/8 extender gets stuck on the ratchet I had to use vice grips to pull it off, the ratchet lost a screw on the ratchet head the first day. Would not recommend.

I’ve got one of these in all my vehicles and use a set as a water pump mechanic. Quality tools in a convenient package to go anywhere and take care of a lot of problems!

its just a basic set but if im at a friends house or just anywhere but home its nice to have my own compact little set with me so im not having to ask where this or that is. fits perfectly under my seats

This is a decent socket set for smaller middle weight jobs. I certainly wouldn’t rely on this for working on the car but that’s probably not the intended purpose.
The Case it comes in is great. Everything stays put and there are latches on top and bottom to hold it secure. Plus it’s clear cover makes it easy to see everything quickly.
The sockets are clearly labeled. Not extra deep or anything but plenty for a normal bolt head.
The wrench itself is on the shorter side as this is not meant to be a high torque tool. The switch and socket release all function smooth and easy.
There is a driver and bits to finish off the set. Functional, the handle is not the most comfortable but it does the job.
Overall, it’s a great set. Something to have on the shelf as a grab and go for smaller projects.

I bought a power socket wrench for my son to work on his bike, but it seemed like a strange gift to give him the wrench without the sockets. I explored all the socket options and this set, which was on sale, seemed like it has the biggest variety of sockets for the cost.

This socket set is shipped in a plastic hinged case. I haven’t had it long enough to determine how resilient it is but the plastic hinges appear to be the weak point on this case. The positive point is the case has two locking points and is very compact.
The socket set is the typical chrome finish and the sockets are toleranced properly. They fit fasteners firmly but not so tight as to make them bind.
The 72 tooth ratchet makes working in confined spaces much easier as it requires a short arc to reset into the next drive tooth.
The driver and various driver tips are a nice addition. They probably aren’t used frequently, but nice to have in a compact, mobile kit. The driver is magnetic to retain the tips.
This set states it is covered by the Craftsman lifetime warranty.
All said, if you need a small mobile set of sockets, this kit should do the job.

As usual I am not disappointed in this craftsman set. It has the durability I often see in Craftsman tools and what issues I have had in the past, are always fixed by a Craftsman dealer. I like the case that the set comes in, but am not sure that it will hold up being thrown around on the farm and the case doesn’t have any type of carrying handle. The only real negative is that almost every metric set, this one included, leaves out one socket. This set left out the # 9 socket. I know a #9 is not a commonly used socket, but it aggravates me when a metric set skips a size. Overall a quality set that I would recommend.

Very nice set for the price, it’s less than what you pay for a socket set and ratchet at a discount place and it’s better quality. The screwdriver has a nice throwback classic look too. I bought this as a Christmas gift, can’t say anything about durability but again for the price it’d be hard to lose on this one.

Size markings on the sockets are large and easy to read.
The “six point” sockets are great help in preventing “rounding” of bolts and nuts. Sockets fit well and are good for removing those “slightly” rounded fasteners.
The ratchet has a comfortable smooth handle. The ratchet switch conveniently moves in the direction of rotation. I would prefer that it have a somewhat knurled surface to make easier to hold onto when hands are greasy or sweaty.
The screw driver has a strong magnet and holds bits securely.
This set is a necessity for anyone’s toolbox.
(four star rating is due to the ratchet handle being so slick)
