I had the exact same 2 ton Jack from Craftsman maybe 8 + years old. Big design difference. I purchased this to replace it. First, the extension part of Jack Wiggles back and forth a half inch play, the two side pieces of Steel that’s supposed to help keep it from binding and straight, have a lot of play in them and just a thin pin on the outside keeping them intact. The older Craftsman jacks they were pressed fittings you couldn’t wiggle it back and forth side to side, it was a tight fit, not like this model,very loose. Second the plunger where you hook the handle on to the pump that Wiggles back and forth a half an inch too, same design with just a pin holding it and place. In fact on the plunger there’s so much sideways play that it rubs the shield unless you concentrate keeping it Center as you pump. When I tested it without a load, when I pump it up, and I pressed down with my hand, it moves down a half inch until it stops. The quality really seems more like the $35 jacks I’ve looked at. They all look like they’re all made from the same manufacturer. It seems the $65 it is to pay for the Craftsman name and the extra 9 month warranty. You can tell that they use this frame for many different models, that’s why there’s so much play sideways back and forth and not a tight fit on the plunger and those two steel side supports. Make one design fit all type approach keep cost low. I purchased this because it has a lift two inches higher than most two ton jacks and it has a case. I most likely will return it and look for Jack with tighter construction and tolerances. This definitely is not the old Craftsman Design Style. Pricing for the design quality. It’s so sad, can’t find build quality at a reasonable price anymore.

I wanted a jack that had a case to store it in for my truck and this fit all of my needs. I am sure it isn’t perfect but the alternative was my bottle jack or god forbid the scissor jack death trap that comes with vehicles nowadays

Needed a lightweight hydraulic jack to keep in the boot and this came with a carrying case so no rolling around in the back. The scissor jack that came with the vehicle is difficult to access under the seat and unstable depending on the surface. The hydraulic jack is easy to use and stable when lifting. I used today to lift the front of a loaded trailer without difficulty.

Good price for a 2-1/2 ton jack. The 15″ height is perfect for the average suv. My only complaint is when raising my 2020 Rav4 it became real hard to pump the further I lifted which tells me the 2-1/2 ton spec may be exaggerating a bit.

Man this thing can lift some weight. My car is heavier and normal but lighter than average and this thing didn’t even struggle once. My brother stood on it and it lifted him right up in the air. I’m impressed!

First off, I previously had a Craftsman Trolley Jack that was about 20+ years old that worked fine the whole time I had it. I gave it to my son in law, then shortly thereafter I ended up needing another one. I was happy with the previous one, so naturally I bought this one. Worked fine the first couple of uses, but then after having it over a year it started leaking. At first I thought it was something easily fixable, like the fill plug or release valve, but it’s a seal somewhere. I added oil to get it to work, but it just leaks out, and now this just sits around as 30lbs of scrap metal.

I ordered this item and paid (Speedway & Kolb), then was emailed it was out of stock? So I ordered it online, then got another email saying out of stock? So I called around town and found 1 at Oracle & Roger. Drove all the way down there (45 minutes each way). When I got home, there was 1 on my porch! Plain view without a box that anyone can steal. I was so upset wasting all day to get this heavy thing for my husband for Christmas. Then I returned 1 and the clerk at Lowell’s looked at me as whatever? Never again!

Bought this for jacking up my wife’s van and daughter’s car to change their oil. Works as described. Much faster and easier than using the traditional jack that comes with vehicles. Paired it with the craftsman 3.5 ton jacks. Probably not ideal for commercial use, but works great at the house. I recommend this product.

Product is good for smaller projects or smaller cars, I was leary about jacking up my new C8 Corvette. When jacking up the jack appears to lose height. I decided to lower a 140.000 car before it fell. I went and picked up a low profile craftsman floor jack with jack stands. Ahh, felt alot safer.

Just what I wanted! It is a good quality hydraulic floor jack with wheels on it so I can move it around easily. I like that it comes in a plastic case because I bought it to carry in the trunk of my car. I know from previous experience that using this type of jack makes life much easier if I ever have a flat tire; the little jacks that come with a car barely work and are actually dangerous. This jack makes it really fast and easy to jack up my car. It is perfect!

This is a bad on . Another customer must have returned this but kept the lift handle. That handle was missing from the box, but the packing material for it was still there. should have inspected this before putting it back on the shelf to be sold to another customer. I have ordered another. If that one is also missing the lift handle, I will not bother again, but instead purchase a jack from the other store.

It’s a small jack that will lift your car. It’s definitely more stable than the factory jack that sits in the trunk (or wherever). I use mine to do the summer/winter tire change on a Honda CRV. It barely lifts the CRV high enough on its own. The front tires are really close but the jack will get them high enough to change. Placing a block on the jack will ensure you have enough clearance but it is a little dicey because the contact point on the jack is so small. Also, the release is very small so you are right up at the car when it comes down. By the time I got to the fourth tire I started to trust the jack a little more, more so with the rear tires than the front.
It’s a good inexpensive jack to have around. It is easy to store and use. If you plan to use it more than every once in a while or have the space to store a larger jack I’d probably go that route. For me, though, using it twice a year and with limited space, it was a good option.

I use this jack rarely. Mainly to swap from summer to winter tires. Pulled it out this winter to put on the winter tires and found a large puddle of oil in the case. It lifted the car but not like it used to. Called Craftsman, they said they would sell me the part if I wanted to fix it. I’ll be avoiding Craftsman from here on out. Too many other companies that will stand behind their products like Craftsman used to.
