This kit offers the visual appeal of a lock, without any meaningful protection. They keys were basically raw, with no teeth cut out. Unfortunately the Lowe’s I purchased this from does not carry any other popular brands of trailer lock accessories.

I could see a good hammer strike would remove these locks. Extremely simple key. This would not provide any amount of security.

Not universal would not work for my utility trailer coupler
But it works fine for my Boat trailer coupler so I kept it anyway

I like that one key will operate all the locks (product comes with two). The device with the ball could fit more snugly but it seems to do the job.
I haven’t owned them long enough to get any idea how durable they might be or how well the respond to weather.
Locks like this are what you use to keep honest people from messing with your stuff. I don’t believe they are capable of keeping a determined thief away.

The third part of this combo kit malfunctioned and is not a very well constructed product.
The design to lock the three part piece with the red towing ball hitch is cumbersome to say the lest. Trying to hold the two pieces together while locking the final black piece with a key while fighting gravity trying to pull it all apart, is not easy to begin with. Then add in that the black locking piece would not stay in the lock position, made this a return item within the hour of purchase.
The gold trailer lock part of the kit worked like a charm and I ended up buying it separately.
I did not try to use the stinger hitch lock, but it seemed to be ok.
The best part of this combo kit was that all three pieces are keyed with one key. Unfortunately the quality of one of the pieces was just not that good.
Guess I will still go with three separate keys for now.

This does not work at all.
Installed the trailer lock and to test I wiggled and jiggled and the lock came right off. Thought maybe I had it upside down so put the lock on facing the other direction and same thing, a little wiggling and the lock came right off. I got this to protect the trailer but it does not work. 0 stars.

I wasn’t expecting much with how cheap this “security” kit was, but when the Hitch Pin broke after my 1st trip I was still surprised. I don’t even understand how there was enough pressure on the lock of the hitch pin to have caused it to break? Anyways, this kit is nothing more than a minor deterrent when it comes to preventing someone from stealing a trailer.

This product is a piece of junk. The black cylinder lock simply jiggles right off of the horseshoe mount threads – it never fully locks. My trust in the other locking mechanisms is hugely eroded by this. The whole thing is going in the trash. Do yourself a favor – move on.

This product was very cheaply made and the lock cylinder fell out of the brass lock tge first time i tried to use it. I returned it thst same day.

The part that goes the the tongue part seems to be good, my son tested the smaller lock and picked it in less than 2 minutes. My son did pick the other but he said it wasn’t nearly as easy and would be a lot more difficult on the trailer. We had them in the house opening them. My son isn’t a criminal- a mechanical engineer who inspects everything.

Had this product for a year. Hitch pin came apart and I lost my hitch off my truck on a graded dirt road. Luckily no trailer was connected at the time. Someone found my hitch before I realized it was gone. I wouldn’t trust this product with your life or you property.
