The ½ inch piece is a sleeve and it crushed under tow.

I do not like the lock. The sleeve jams while trying to threard it through the receiver hitch. I couldn’t back it out or realign it and try again because it just kept jamming. Measured the holes on my receiver they are aligned and correctly sized. The sleeve is short and flimsy and drops down into the receiver itself leaving a quarter inch piece you get to work with and try to insert it. It would not fit if left on the lock shaft for some reason. Big problem when you’re trying to hook up and go while every mosquito in the county is looking to make you lunch.

Did not work, the length was to short not allowing Lock to engage.

Great lock and the cover for the key insert actually clams down to keep the environment out.

It is not easy to use. When your turning the key with one hand you have to hold the head of the lock with the other so that it doesn’t turn at the same time, allowing you to actually unlock it

This product is junk. It came unlocked during my drive and I lost the ball and hitch along with this product. Now I’m back to where I started with nothing and out $150.
