Great spare tire that matched with all my originals

We moved from Alaska to Maine, we bought a 5×8 trailer at and since driving the Alaskan highway is kinda regarded as a longish trip, and I didn’t want to end up without a spare tire in the middle of nowhere we bought a spare to go with the trailer. So we loaded the trailer with exactly 1280 lbs of weight, we used the town dump scales so we might have been over of under 20 lbs but either way we were WELL under the load rating of the tires(990lbs). We drove the entirety of the Alaskan highway with zero issues(original trailer tires), we checked them repeatedly (every gas stop). On getting into Montana a pickup in front of us lost some 2×4’s with nails and we hit one of them and we lost a passenger side trailer tire(managed to dodge with car tires). So the spare went on, we drove 2 hours on the spare and outside Bozeman Montana I noticed that the trailer was throbbing like it had a flat. I checked the tire and the tire that I installed 2 hours prior was flat with burst tumors on the side(air had gotten between the layers of tire and made a bubble that had rubbed on the inside of the trailer fender popping it). So I unhooked the trailer, drove to (Bozeman has one) swapped the spare tire (2 hours driving on a tire was regarded as manufacturing defect and they replaced it for free) and took my new spare back to the trailer new tire on, and got it hooked back up and drove to and got a 2nd spare. (one already saved my butt, ought to have a useable one right). Next day left Bozeman, Dickenson south Dakota we pulled into a rest stop and the AGAIN the passenger side tire has tumors on it, they haven’t ruptured this time (I had bent the fenders out of the way night prior as a safety feature), so I took the tire off and swapped the spare on, got a replacement spare in Fargo ND and continued our journey. In Illinois we had ANOTHER passenger side tire(this is the 3rd tire we had replaced on eh passenger side but still original drivers side) “tumor” issue. So tire went back to and got it replaced(to their credit we have only PAID for 1 spare tire at this point, they just keep getting swapped as “manufacturer defect”). From Illinois to somewhere in upstate New York things were actually good, we DIDNT have to replace another tire, BUT then ANOTHER passenger side trailer tire “tumor” issue. My wife could actually see it in the mirror while driving, and we got off the interstate to change it(though NOT the nicest neighborhood, my experience changing these at this point made me like a NASCAR crew, back underway in under 15 minutes), we hit up another and got ANOTHER tire swapped with “manufacturer” defect somewhere around Rochester NY. We actually made it to Maine from then on with no more spare tires needed. However the story doesn’t end there, we unloaded the trailer of stuff and parked it. 2 months later we had located a furniture set at a sale we wanted, using the trailer to go get it seemed like a good idea. So I went to the trailer and yep tumor on the PASSENGER side tire.
So the trailer tire that had come from the factory was fine but the replacement spares are nearly completely worthless, I had spent over 2 hours replacing them (not to mention time going to to swap them out). I question if this level of manufacturing defect is even safe to sell.

Saved my bacon having a spare while moving…would not have wanted to leave the trailer on the side of the road while I went to find one!

Exact quality tire that was installed on the trailer. Came right away no headaches. Bought a mounting kit to secure it to the trailer.

I bought this tire as a spare for the trailer I bought last year from . What I like about this tire (and rim), is that it was available from my local when I needed it. My wife was going to drive a bunch of kids and their luggage to the airport the next day–one hour each way. (The trailer was for the luggage, not the kids!) I didn’t want to take a chance on making them late if the trailer had a flat tire and no spare. Fortunately, they didn’t need to use it. Years ago I was traveling with my family out-of-state with a trailer that did develop a flat. It was no fun delaying our journey while searching for a shop that had the right-sized spare, then having them take the flat off the rim and put the new one on. Very frustrating. So, now I have a spare on a rim, and feel very comfortable with me or my wife pulling the trailer wherever we need to take it.

It was a perfect match to the ones I had on the trailer.

This tire was a perfect match for my 5′ x 8′ trailer I got from .

Exactly the tire I needed, for my trailer! A little disappointed in the price. They should offer replacing just the tire so I can reuse the rim. If they do they should make it easier for me to find that information. Satisfied!

Was supposed to pick up 12 inch tire, 16 inch tire was waiting for me! Order filled with wrong tire! Had to return and the 12 inch tire was not available!

I spent a long time searching the Internet looking for a spare tire for the Carry-On utility trailer I purchased from last year. I wanted the same style wheel and exact match tire. I almost purchased a wheel from one source and the tire from another and was prepared to pay to have them mounted up.. Luckily I found that had this item in stock and ready to go for less money than I almost spent online. Should have checked with first!

I bought two of these tires on July 6, 2018. Tonight, Aug 6, 2018, one of the tires blew. Left me stranded on the highway with a trailer full of lumber. Trailer was only carrying about 500 pounds and the tires are rated for 990. I’m taking it back to to see if they will give me a new tire. May look for another more reliable tire in the future. I would buy with caution.

The price was better then other places

What I didn’t like was I had to go elsewhere to get this tire. It wasn’t available in Corpus Christi.

a spare tire is always good to have on hand, insurance that you need , do not get caught without it

Happy to get it but our local only carries one spare in their inventory. Would’ve liked to buy one more as a spare to the spare. LOL.

It’s very tough.

It was the right size for my trailer

BOUGHT MY TRAILER YEARS AGO FROM LOWES SO I THOUGHT IT WOULD BE A GOOD IDEA TO SEE ABOUT A SPARE. GOT A GREAT PRICE AND WAS ABLE TO CONFIRM IT WAS THE SAME SIZE AND TYPE THAT ORIGINALLY CAME WITH THE TRAILER.

Good quality. I bought two with no complaint

I purchased a 5 lug tire then drove an hour out of my way to pick it up. When I got home I realized they gave me a 4 lug tire. I had to call and drive an hour back there to pick up the right one. When I called there was no apology for the mistake and when I got to the store they barely even acknowledged me. Worst service I’ve had at a Lowe’s.

Trailer Tire will be my spare. Exactly what I needed as I had purchased the trailer from Lowe’s.

I have bought a set of these and they were great. I haul a lot of products that weights next to the 990 limit and they hold up great. They wear evenly on my trailer. Thanks for making a great product. I keep a spare just in case

I purchase a carry-on trailer last fall. I drove the trailer home and found the tire flat the next day with a gravel embedded into the tire. I purchased another tire from to replace the tire and used the trailer to carry a snowmachine well within the weight limit of the trailer. This tire also failed while driving on pavement and rough road. I would not recommend this tire. I now need to find a better quality tire after two failures within a week of each other.

Needed to replace a worn tire on our bought 3’x5’ trailer. This tire was a perfect replacement. A week into daily use and it’s holding up just like the originals did.

Pro – Worked as one would expect tires to work.
Con – Had to go elsewhere to get lug nuts for this as carries tires, and tire irons, but not the key piece for both the lug nut.

Awesome. Exactly what I wanted. Quick!!

No issues Oregon to Texas in 35 hours

I never had a spare tire for my small utility trailer for 8 years. Got a flat on day 1 of ten of my vacation while hauling my motorcycle. Saved my butt on my vacation trip almost three weeks ago. Glad I had it!
