I bought this jump starter and does NOT WORK!! I charged it until the green light came on, went straight to try and jump start my V8 Dodge Charger Hemi… and did not turn on at all … looking at the reviews this item is a piece of sheeet

Versatility is nice but starting power is lack n luster and for the money it was not as good as i expected, it is my second one the first i returned in hopes n it would be better.

I like the features provided for the price, it’s a good value. However, it doesn’t come with a charging cord. This is an additional expense. That should be clearly noted in the items description and also noted on the box.

This was purchased for when the colder weather hits and my vehicles have a dead battery. It’s one of the most powerful jump starter boxes I ever owned. For a test run, I installed my battery for the lawn tractor. It was completely dead, as it had sat over the winter. I attached the jump cables to the battery, and to my pleasant surprise, the tractor started right up! There are several ports on this jump starter to charge many other electronics. It’s a great investment and I am very glad I purchased it!

So far everything works ok, my only complaint is that the air compressor will only work for a short while before I am guessing it gets hot and shuts off and it takes about 6 minutes for it to cool down before it kicks in and starts pumping again. I don’t like that the set tire pressure changes between each wheel. It will air up one tire 6 pounds without shutting off. Other than these complaints it works for what I wanted, a cordless jump pack and tire inflator.

does not turn on, taking it back, maybe I just have a bad unit

I really like this product. It worked the 1st time I tried it. It was delivered on time and when I turned it on, it had a full charge so I didn’t have to wait to charge it. I haven’t tried the air compressor yet.

doesn’t include extension to charge the machine. waste of my time craftsman. not happy at all about it. no where on the box does it state that i should buy that cord separately wow.

this is the best car charger I’ve ever used. I’m going to buy my brother one as a gift. He travels a lot, and if he get stranded or someone else does, this charger will do it. With all the multiabilities and can hold a charge.

tried to air up 2 tires with it, one tire was completely flat. after about 10 minutes did not build up any psi. Tried it on another tire that had air in it, after about 10-15 minutes only added 7 psi

The good:
– Relatively light
– Air compressor cable stores out of the way, jumper cables can be secured, sort of.
– Easy to store
– Provides the functions commonly needed: jump starter for cars (protected against reverse-connecting the cables to the battery), air compressor (with bag of adapters for blowing up balls, air mattresses, etc), work light with flashing option, USB-A and -C charging ports (2 each), limited power 120 VAC and 12 VDC outputs
– Provides protection against overcharging via AC (but not DC)
The bad:
– Neither AC nor DC charging cables are provided – there’s an adapter to connect between a car cigarette light and a small charging port, but it’s useless unless you supply your own cable, and there’s no place to store it.
– Display and controls not especially intuitive (for instance, there’s a voltage icon for the digital display, but it won’t display the voltage the thing is charged to, it only displays the voltage of the battery you’re trying to jump), displays percentage the thing is charged to (if you disconnect from whatever AC cord you’ve found to use, and it recommends waiting “a few hours” before believing the percentage given), but contradicts the charging LED (display says 100%, but the charging light shows still charging)
– no PDF version of manual available
– has what seems to be an option for charging via an ordinary 12 VDC power unit like you’d get with a small appliance, but there is no information in the manual about how to do it.
– air compressor provides a small (and hard to turn) brass screw-on connection to a standard tire stem, not the more convenient lever type.
The ugly:
– There’s no link anywhere on Craftsman.com for manuals or any other useful support
– Judging by Craftsman.com, Craftsman doesn’t even know it makes this thing; with some persistence you can find a phone number to call for support, who will then give you a different number to call, but only Monday through Friday between 9 and 5 Eastern time – apparently Craftsman has given up on weekend people, and those on the west coast who aren’t up at 6 AM.
– there’s also a support chat window on the website that eventually appears out of nowhere for you to use. As I write this on a Saturday afternoon, it has been assuring me that “a member of our customer service team will be available to assist you shortly” for the last 90+ minutes.
– you’ve already probably noticed that the product description is incomplete and intentionally uninformative in some areas, like whether you have to supply your own AC power cord the charge the thing (yes, you do, and there’s no way the usual kind of extension cords people keep around the house can connect to this thing – has to be a single plug on the female end in line with the cord, and narrow enough to fit in the small hole the receptacle is in), and the product pictures make it hard or impossible to see the details.
– you’ve also probably noticed that the specifications given are either obvious (“power source – electrical outlet”), meaningless (“UNSPSC – 26111700”), misleading (“Charger included – Yes, AC&DC”) or wrong (“battery amp hour – 0”) (at least, I hope that’s wrong).
The bottom line:
The only reason to buy this thing is that the alternatives offered by other auto supply, home improvement, and big box stores are either no better or even worse.
I’ll try to tell you later if it will actually jump start a car.

The compressor went out after a month. But seem to be awesome when its working!

I returned this product twice. The first one had been used, but was sold as a new product. The second one I found had no cord. It requires an extension cord to charge it.

I bought this mostly for the air compressor and it worked once. It does not work at all now. Reading other reviews online now I wish I didn’t spend $190 on a battery charger only. This thing is garbage and not even made by Craftsman. I contacted them and they told me it was made by Schumacher Electric, and you can’t even find anything on it on their website. Do not buy this!!!!!!

CRAFTSMAN: Charge before using!
Also CRAFTSMAN: *does not include cable for charging*
I bought this instore and I was very excited to try it out. When I open the package, it was missing the cord for charging. No indication of needing to buy an extension cord, which would have been good to know since I was already at the store. Now I will go back to store, not to buy a cable, but to return this frustrating product. Good job CRAFTSMAN.

Stay away from this garbage, First thing first, the charging cable is not included and you will probably miss this and not know until you open the box and wonder which genius in craftsman thought that was the correct move. Further more, my brand new device was not charging after waiting for many hours and just completely wasted my day.
Complete garbage
