I have a similar mechanics toolbox when I purchased one for me and one for my dad 15 years ago. When I saw this one I bwound up purchasing 3 one for me, one for dad, and one for my yougest son and we are happy with it save a few minor things. One, the same socket on all three boxes refuses to stay in place and always falls when closing the box. The 3/8″ drive, 11mm deep socket Two, my son’s 1/4″ ratchet doesn’t work properly as it jams when ratcheting. Three, it is extremely difficult to retrieve the sockets from their stowed positions. I use a small flat tip on the screwdriver to remove them. That is all.

Even if you plan to travel with these tools, be aware that the case holds many items so tight you’ll have to pry them out with a screwdriver. The ratchets, deep sockets, and screwdriver required prying out. Not a factor for me, I intended to remove everything, organize in my toolchests using dedicated strips for sockets and wrenches, then trash the original case. BTW, the case does not fit in the top or some drawers of Craftman cabinets or toolchests.

The low profile ratchets make it a lot easier to get into tight spaces. For example, when changing the cabin filter in my vehicle where there is very limited space. The set comes with a great selection of socket sizes that’ll have you prepared for any job that requires them. The quick release on the ratchets makes it more convenient to change socket sizes. The only downfall I found in this set is the case itself because some sockets fall out easily.

These are very nice sturdy tools! I love how they guarantee a lifetime of lasting. This set is perfect for any mechanic that you have on your life. Love they have stuff to work with low profile those tools are definitely hard to find!!

This is a great set and has everything I need all in one tool set! Between Allen wrenches, screw driver and wrenches this set is a must. It also has a lifetime warranty. All the tools mostly stay secure in their places. A few do get loose from time to time. It has all different sizes to accommodate different needs when putting items together. Would definitely recommend!

The tools themselves are great. The problem is the case. Every time, yes, every time I open the case sockets fall out of their lame holders. Makes for a frustrating work day

I think they are decent quality tools for the price. Great for a kit to have in your truck. I would say that I was hoping for a little more from the case…. some tools are hard to get out, and others fall out easily when you open it. Still think it is a good buy though

This tool kit should have everything you need for almost any project. It has 159 various pieces. The sturdy carrying case is easy for portability but also for compact storage. The quality is great and easy to get the tools out of the case for use. The pieces are good quality. Perfect for projects around the house.

This Craftsman 159 pc Low Profile Mechanics Set has every single thing that we have needed – all in one handy case! The case is very thick, hard and sturdy. You can tell that it will last the test of time, as well as being hardy enough to carry around every single piece of this set with ease. The set itself is wonderful, with them being encased in their own individual groove inside of the case – in order by measurement to make it very easy to find the size that you need. These tools are low profile, which means they have a thinner head. This makes it MUCH easier to fit in those tight places where you can’t usually fit your standard ratchets, wrenches and other various tools. Ever since getting this set, we have used them several times for much needed tasks – as well as other tasks that we found along the way. This set literally has every size that we need – which makes this a profoundly necessary set. Easy for transport and use, I cannot say enough good things about this kit.

The whole thing is unusable. One of the ratcheting wrenches was broken (either spinnig or suck), the case needs a pry bar to open and a hammer to close. The same for the sockets, some of them fall out from their place and some are stuck so hard so that I cannot get them out and back in, I need to use tools just to use the tools in the box.
Also, when I opened the box the first time, there was a small piece of rock in it, somebody might returned it already.

This kit has sooo much! 159 pieces, but what that really means it that it has a wide assortment of rachets and SAE/Metric bits. On top of that, there are bunch of wrenches in the popular sizes that goes beyond just mechanics’ preferences. It’s a bit heavy, with the case, but if you have any Craftsman storage units, this case will play nice with them. No need to buy different sets to piece together your own collection because this complete kit really has all the utility you’ll need for 95% of your jobs. Even includes spark plug sockets if you have one of those legacy gas cars, too. Overall, I can’t complain about the comprehensiveness of this set, and it all packs quite neatly in its single heavy duty case!
