These brake caliper tools worked like a charm. Much easier to use then having to compress your calipers with clamps which slip a lot.

The overall systems works great. The magnets could be a little stronger. I had a few heads pop off. But overall, they have every size you need, and it works well. (Of courses the blow molding case is crap, get some foam cut outs for your toolbox) I used manufactureinsight.com they make me a great toolbox cutout on the cheep.

Work great as designed but the magnet fell out (broke into pieces) after first use. I realize how helpful the magnet was at keeping the parts together. Makes the job easier

Fantastic for rear callipers…
For the front however…especially vehicles like the Explorer with dual pistons..a little disappointing and outdated.
First off..why not make the hand crank a ratcheting part?..
Why turn it by hand when they could just make it a nut tip..and you put your own ratchet on it?..
Plus there is no tool/piece for compressing both pistons at once.
(Hint—use the old brake pad, put the tool up to it with the pad against the pistons.then crank by hand..instead of with a 1/2″ ratchet!)

It is a Craftsman tool, it does what it is supposed to do and it is affordable (if you use it twice, it pays for itself).
If it was made with that cool gunmetal color like the socket sets, that would be very cool!

Worked as expected, and very nicely packaged.

Worked well, compressed the caliper piston easily but the magnet to hold the adapters in place broke on the first use.

For the price this is a decent set when you need a specialty tool. I didn’t find the magnetic holder to be an issue as other reviewers have noted. It could be stronger, but it doesn’t hinder operation of the tool. In my situation I needed to apply extra torque to the handle by using a combination wrench as an extension to turn it due to the caliper piston being tight, and the tool handled it just fine without bending or breaking any parts.

There is a tiny magnet that is the only thing that holds the attachments on. Whatever is holding the magnet in place is apparently not strong enough. The magnet falls out which causes the attachment to fall off while you’re trying to get the tool in place on your caliper. Worse yet is after several times of putting the magnet back in, there starts to be some gritty, metal shaving residue that obviously you don’t want anywhere near your new brakes and rotors. I had to return it. Hopefully Craftsmen figures out the magnet issue. It would be a great tool otherwise.

work like a charm no fumbling is stayed in place while pushing brake caliper while you’re turning the handle. I am very happy with the purchase.
