I think it is a secure device but as they say a lock is designed to keep an honest person honest.
This lock fits all my trailer balls sizes 1- 7/8″ and 2″ I do not have the 2-5/16 ball but packaging says it fits. the lock is fairly simple to install unlock slide to open, secure the coupler, slide to close and lock. It can feel bit cumbersome to use the fist few times I installed it and now it is second nature. I like the fact that you have to destroy the lock or the coupler to steal the trailer. In my opinion it is well worth the money spent. I own 2 of these devices.
